Design Observer had a nice post about photographer Mark Klett today, and I was so taken with the project I couldn’t leave it go un-posted.

Through decades of experience, he has honed his skills in rephotography, and the results are fascinating. What’s really interesting, to me, is the idea of using something meant to document one specific moment in time, is now layered to include multiple moments in time, all of which clue you in the the stories and changes that fill in those gaps. It seems like there’s been a massive interest in photo recreation recently, but I’m really enjoying it.
